Terms and Conditions

Please take a moment to read through our terms and conditions:

  • Sessions are to be booked and paid for online or by emailing hello@thepilatesnook.com.au.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to notify the instructor of any illness, pathology or injury before each session.

  • Privates and duets can be booked up to 1 hour before the session starts. Group classes can be booked up to 30 minutes before class starts.

  • Privates and duets are 55 minutes long and group classes are 50 minutes long. Please arrive and leave promptly as session times will not be extended.

  • Clients wishing to book privates or duets are required to do an initial assessment which is a private movement analysis session so your fitness goals and any rehabilitation needs are well understood by the instructor and a pilates program can be tailored accordingly.

  • Group classes have a maximum of 6 clients so the instructor can give individual support when needed. Please follow the instructor’s safety cues, exercise modifications and requests to alter the equipment position and springs. No initial assessment is required to join group classes but if you are new to pilates, it is recommended. Group classes are not suitable for 3rd Trimester pregnancy, anyone in pain or with an acute injury or pathology. Please check with your GP or Specialist if you are unsure if you are ready for group classes.

  • The Pilates Nook has a strict 24-hour cancellation policy as instructors are paid based on client attendance. Please give as much notice as possible so we may open the session to other clients as we regularly have waitlists. If you cancel within 24 hours you will be charged the full fee.

  • All casual sessions, group classes and packs are strictly non-refundable

  • Our packs and specials have generous expiry dates so please ensure you complete your sessions within the permitted time. If you cannot, please contact the studio to discuss.

  • Memberships are debited from your bank account fortnightly. We require 7 days notice to cancel or change your membership and you can pause your membership at any time for a minimum of 2 weeks. In the event that you cannot attend your regular 2x or 3x/week sessions, you may accrue up to 4 sessions to use at another time. More than 4 sessions will unfortunately be lost which is why we encourage you to plan ahead and pause or cancel your membership if your situation changes.

  • Wear comfortable clothing with room to stretch! Do not wear loose jewellery, zips or belts for your own safety and to protect the equipment.

  • Please wash or sanitise your hands before and after the session and wear clean grip socks for your hygiene and safety.

  • Clients are asked to wipe down the equipment after use and we provide spray bottles and cloths for this.

  • The Pilates Nook is a training studio and we occasionally have students observing the sessions.

  • Pilates is for everyone and our social media reflects this so we like to use photos and videos of our clients for promotional purposes. Please let your instructor know if you do not want to have any images appearing on our social platforms.

  • You agree to email reminders and promotions which can be un-subscribed from at any time.

  • The Pilates Nook accepts no responsibility for injury or illness, loss or damage to any persons or their property sustained or arising from any session including online sessions or through general use of the premises. Clients undertake sessions at their own risk.

Thank you for taking time to read our terms and conditions.
