The Pilates Nook offers private (1 client per instructor) and duet sessions (2 clients sharing an instructor) using the full suite of Polestar Pilates equipment. These sessions are personally designed for each client based on their own goals following a compulsory initial assessment. Our instructors follow the core Pilates principles to address the needs of the whole body including posture, strength, flexibility, coordination and balance.

If you have a specific time and a friend or relative you wish to be paired with for a duet session, please contact us to set that up. If not, we have many duet times available in our schedule and you can book in as you would any class and we will pair you with another client.


Who can do Pilates?

Everyone! Regardless of age or health condition, if your GP has cleared you for Pilates then you are welcome at The Pilates Nook.

All our instructors are highly experienced and participate in ongoing training and education. Our instructors can provide safe movement for clients with:

  • Osteoporosis and arthritis

  • Pregnancy and post-natal stages

  • Shoulder, hip, knee and foot pathologies

  • Minor spinal disc pathologies

  • Most injury and surgery rehabilitations such as hip replacements

  • General postural improvement

  • Sports and dance performance training

  • Muscular pain conditions

If this sounds like you, please book in for an initial assessment (if it is your first time at our studio) or a private or duet session before joining our group classes.


What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely. For your safety please avoid loose jewellery, zippers and belt buckles.

Clean GRIP SOCKS are compulsory and we have freshly laundered pairs to borrow or pairs for sale in the Studio.

You are welcome to bring a small towel, although this is optional.
